Giddy Goat Coffee Roasters
Neighborhood: South End
This locally owned coffee shop now has a home in the South End neighborhood. Inside, you’ll find plenty of seating plus the same beloved menu of coffee drinks, empanadas and weekend breakfast burritos. In case you missed it: Giddy Goat also recently opened inside the Dowd YMCA.
Haraz Coffee House
Neighborhood: Ballantyne
Yemeni coffee and tea can now be found in South Charlotte at the city’s newest Haraz Coffee House location. Guests love the Yemeni coffee options plus espresso drinks, strong teas and pretty pastries. You can find locations in Plaza Midwood and South End, too.
Leroy’s Snack Shack
Neighborhood: Plaza Midwood
Good food pairs well with good beer and Resident Culture Brewing now has a new permanent food truck to make it happen. The menu includes wings, loaded fries, smashburgers and more. Grab a bite to eat next time you’re there sipping on your favorite brew.
Oaklore Bar & Bottle Shop
Neighborhood: South End
The teams behind Oaklore Distilling and Orosoko Sound Bar present this bar and bottle shop, offering craft cocktails, tasty bites and items on the shelves for retail sale. Cocktails are created with Oaklore’s own locally made products, from spirits and bitters to mixers and cordials.
Panko
Neighborhood: NoDa
Charlotte has a new Peruvian Nikkei restaurant. The menu at Panko features sushi, nigiri, traditional Peruvian dishes and a strong beverage program. Live music from rotating DJs helps set the tone of the experience, and reservations are encouraged.
PrimoHoagies
Area: Southwest Charlotte
This sandwich shop, near Charlotte Premium Outlets, is known for Italian-style hoagies, from various Italian builds to turkey and cheese to chicken cutlet subs. Peruse the menu to craft something just to your liking, then pair it with sides like potato salad, marinated mozzarella balls or Herr’s chips.
Two Scoops Creamery
Neighborhood: NoDa
Homemade ice cream can now be found in NoDa thanks to Two Scoops’ ninth location. On any given visit, you’ll find 24 rotating flavors, with items like ice cream pies and pints available to-go. Stay tuned on Instagram to keep up with all the seasonal creations.
