I would definitely recommend this place for children of any age. It had a very open and spacious floor plan, was very well tended (clean) and full of ACTUAL learning! My daughter and I went with her school and totally enjoyed ourselves. The staff was also very kind, courteous, and knowledgeable. One of the extras that we got to experience was a lab class on weather. The dry ice cloud formations where her favorite! The only reason it's getting a 4-star instead of a 5-star rating, is because parking was not easy to find and very expensive.

So much fun for kids and their Adults they bring in tow! Kids of every age can find something fun to do here. Younger kids can enjoy the huge water table in the young kids area downstairs, and older kids can turn off their smart devices for a bit, and get their inner nerd in with all the cool gadgets and educational games to experiment with upstairs. Plus lots of shows and demonstrations through the day to Enjoy.

We showed up with only an hour left to explore , luckily, all we had to do was show our wristbands and the next day we could still have all day access which I thought was great. The Davinci exhibit was amazing. I do wish the kids there were more respectful and timed on their activities or something. The children we rude, but the discovery Place science is an amazing place to go that's always fun and full of surprises.

Great museum! There were many interesting and interactive exhibits that made the museum visit much more meaningful! My favorite part was the bed of nails (won't give you too many details on that). It was incredible in that there was a rain forest, aquarium, and a frog exhibit...all in one place. I spent two hours here and needed more time to see the rest.

Discovery Science is our families favorite! The other Discovery Places are wonderful as well but this location has something for the whole family. Parking garage has a walkway but you do have to pay for parking (as with anything in Charlotte). Staff is always lovely and interactive with children. From petting animals, learning science and having a blast with everything else you wont be disappointed. They do have a eating area but a bit pricy, however, it is located within walking distance to other eating options that may work better for your family.
