IndiGrille

I was a bit shocked that the place was completely dead empty with 1 customer on Valentines Day. There were 2 people working and neither of them Indian which I look for at an Indian restaurant. None of the grills were working and I saw a big set of Tupperware stacked up. We ordered our food and it actually tasted great, but I think they mightve just microwaved it? It was weird because the sauces for the paneer and the chicken were not mixed in. I think they just spooned in the sauce and then put the meat on top without mixing it. The best way I can describe this place is the day after Thanksgiving when you have a lot of leftovers and your mom warms them up in the microwave. We had our food done in but it was served in plastic to go containers with plastic forks.

First of all, the location is beautiful. Outside seating around fountains and peaceful area. Secondly, the staff are very courteous and welcoming. It was super easy to self-order at the reception without any interruptions, though theres just one kiosk for now. As for the food, I cannot rave enough. I must say that I had the best, freshest, crispiest, crunchiest samosa I've had in the States in my five years here. The paneer dishes were real comfort foodthey felt like home! The thalis came in very generous portions, easily sufficient for two people. Among other things, the mango lassi took my breath away with the first sip. I was craving mangoes, and this satisfied my soul. This is definitely a more-than-once-try place in Charlotte. Thank you for bringing quality Indian food for people to enjoy!

I had been eyeing this restaurant for a minute. Instagram brought me here. The food "looked" amazing and the reviews were good. I wanted some chicken in gravy with a buttery Parata but they wouldn't let me order it without rice. So, I ordered the Chicken Masala Flatbread, Samosas, and a Mango Lassi. I'm being generous with my 3 stars. The Flatbread was precooked and cold, as was the chicken on top. The sauce was dismal and flavor lacking. I'm not going to say it was authentic because well. It was augmented for American palettes. I wanted something robust and full of flavor. It wasn't giving Indian. The Samosas were also very small and lacking in flavor. The Mango Lassi was good but too sweet. It was a generous size for the cost. I will give them a second go but this time I'm eating on sight and ordering something with gravy. Hopefully, it will be much better. I will say the restaurant is spotless, clean, and orderly including the lavatory.

Great fast casual Indian restaurant! I got a flatbread that is like an Indian pizza: bread is naan and toppings are your choice of protein with various premade options. I am very happy! I posted a pic after I was finished cause phones dont eat first Samosas were also good! Ill be back, highly recommend!

Lets start with the good points. First, the inside of the restaurant was very clean and there was plenty of space and seating. Second, the flavors were pretty good with the Coconut Curry Rice Bowl. The fries were tasty as well. Unfortunately the Tandoori Chicken Flatbread was over cooked, and that likely impacted the flavor as it was lacking and a bit dry. We also felt there wasnt enough protein provided on either entree. We werent blown away by Indie Grille but we werent overly disappointed either. Will definitely try again at some point but will most certainly avoid the flatbread.
