This is my favorite place to eat breakfast nearby. The waffles are very good and very sweet. I always order the country fried steak and it's always great. The gravy is good too and not too floury. I've taken several people here and they always love the food. The only drawback is that the seating isn't the best for large groups. Always great service too.

Don't let the modest outer appearance of this place fool you. Inside, it's bright and decorated with colorful pictures and folksy framed sayings that make you feel right at home. The menu is extensive, serving everything from breakfast food to Greek entrees. The Greek patties were delicious--2 giant flat seasoned pork meatballs over rice, topped with brown gravy. It came with 2 sides and a cup of soup. Too bad they're only open until 2 pm and not on Sundays!

Everyone was really friendly, large portions for the money and the food was tasty. The biscuits are extremely fluffy & flavorful. The ribs were falling off the bone though I would've liked a little more seasoning on them. Typically they come smothered in cheese grits but I asked for mine on the side. Definitely recommend the fried Whiting and fried pork chops! Can't wait to return and try their breakfast sandwiches!!! My friend & I had coffee & water that never ran out as well.

First off I have not paid $21 for 2 ppl in a longgg time lol I thought it was an error especially for how good the food was . The place looks like a little basement Diner but the Food , Service and price made up for that. We Whiting eggs and grits and Salmon cake with eggs and grits with cheese and 2 Arnold Palmers and it was $21 dollars yall and taste FANTASTIC.. I left fat n fullwill definitely be back!!

Got the All American so I could sample a few things. The hotcakes were perfect even without syrup. But the grits were superb. Best Ive had in NC!
