This post is brought to you in partnership with Charlotte Ballet.
Join Peter, Wendy and Tinkerbell on a high-flying adventure to Neverland during Charlotte Ballet’s production of “Peter Pan.” Charlotte Ballet will perform this classic story with new choreography from Christopher Stuart, director of Charlotte Ballet II, and feature dancers from Charlotte Ballet’s Main and Second Companies, as well as students from Charlotte Ballet Academy.
In this production of “Peter Pan,” Stuart invites audiences to uncover the mysteries of Peter’s life before his famous adventures with Wendy and the Lost Boys. Stuart has two decades of experience as a dancer, teacher and choreographer. His original work, “Under the Lights,” a tribute to the life, love and music of Johnny Cash, had its Charlotte premiere in October 2022. Stuart also created for Charlotte Ballet’s “Innovative Works” in 2020.
While Stuart is debuting never-before-seen choreography, Charlotte Ballet’s “Peter Pan” maintains the magic, whimsy and excitement of Sir James Matthew Barrie’s original 1904 play. Audiences of all ages can delight in this fantasy adventure filled with swashbuckling pirates, lurking crocodiles and, of course, pixie dust.
The nationally recognized Charlotte Ballet provides exceptional programming to audiences in the Queen City and on tours across the nation. This production of “Peter Pan” takes the mainstage at Knight Theater on April 21. Tickets start at $30, and performances will run through April 30. Evening performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. or 7:30 p.m., while matinee performances take place at 2 p.m.
