Really went all out but so glad as we had plenty of food for everyone! Very nice open layout and kitchen. Staff was very attentive and offered excellent wine pairing suggestions. Im looking forward to trying breakfast, lunch, and especially Sunday brunch! On a side note, the high top chairs are different but comfortable once you manage to get into them.

Everything about Bonterra exceeded my highest expectations! Attentive, formal, friendly service, leather bar seats and dining room chairs, an extraordinary wine list, and the menu is far more sophisticated than the casual American cuisine it advertises. I enjoyed the Jumbo Shrimp Mediterranean. Fine dining at its FINEST! Next visit, I'll bring my family, and my professional camera. A photographer's paradise, images worth capturing. I don't see my original review so I submitted another one. I hope this time, it takes!

This was our first time eating at Bonterra since they relocated to Phillips Place near Southpark, and our first time there since pre-pandemic. The new location is beautifully and tastefully decorated, very open, not too crowded, with a spacious bar and cavernous ceiling that prevented sounds from being too loud - loved it. The food was delicious, if a little heavy on the salt. The filet was perfectly medium rare and tasty; both the Chilean sea bass and NC Trout were crispy on the outside but soft and moist on the inside. The sauces were rich in flavor, even if that was a combination of plenty of salt and butter. Dont get me wrong - Im not complaining, but it might be too much for some people. This is probably not the right restaurant choice, if youre on a low-sodium diet, is all Im saying. The crme brle was a lovely finish. Excellent selection of wines, too. The only thing I would avoid? The tiramisu. While our waiter promptly replaced my wifes tiramisu without question, which we appreciated, it was - without a doubt - the worst tiramisu weve ever tasted. It wasnt just not good. It was awful. Who knows? Maybe something was missed in preparation by accident, and this was an exception? Given how good everything else was, I wouldnt be surprised, and I can understand that happening. Hopefully theyll sort it out, and next time it will be delicious. This one item certainly wont keep us from returning, thats for sure. We will definitely be back.

Really wanted to love this place but the food was just ok. Our server was very nice. Our food runner could use a bit more training (he brought us food we didnt order). We split a ribeye and added a fried lobster tail. I really wish they had a grilled option as a healthier alternative. Also tried the heirloom tomato salad. It was kind of bland. There is a private parking lot so that was a plus!

Excellent service, beautiful atmosphere with a nice outdoor seating area and exquisite food. The fried oysters were devine and I usually don't like them prepared that way. Devine.
