The live fusion of Jazz was really good. There were several musicians there that came up to the stage and had the opportunity to play. I really enjoyed it. Totally surprised it was not packed with people. You guys really need to visit this place on a Tuesday if you enjoy jazz.
I went for Afro Pop and it was sensational!!! I don't know much about the Tavern but the event was awesome. I did order from the menu and it was good late night food. Well organized.
Went here for an event that I found onlne. It was for the Black Panther and it was so dope. I'm really glad that we got there early because parking was starting to get crazy. There is something cool about the vibes in Charlotte. It's really sleek and cool. That's what this location reminded me of. It also reminded me of an old school building. Regular business on the first floor, then when you go "downstairs" it's a whole party. The life music was so much and I would like to thank JayNelly for the hospitality at this location. She was surely great answering any type of questions that we had.
I attended a baby shower on Sunday when it was closed to the public. The Tavern looks older and has an open ceiling where you can see the lights and wiring. It also had brick walls. Reminds me a lot of bars in older cities like New York or Boston. However, the place dresses up very well. It was a great place to have the baby shower and looked great with all of the decorations around. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We had a brunch and the food was good. The red velvet were very delicious.
Always love going. Can't wait to see the new menu. Hope they are bringing my nachos back
