This place is amazing! The experience is always new and refreshing! You can come for a normal sandwich and side lunch and come back for the tapas style dinner and get 2 or 3 shared plates to split with a friend. The Sunday menu is the best though.. a huge brunch buffet with literally everything on it! The food items on each menu change every so often so theres always something new to try. Same goes for their beer and hand crafted cocktails. I come about twice a month and the beer selection is different every time! It never gets old! The patio is a prime spot to be if its nice out and especially if you have a dog.. the employees act genuinely thrilled when people bring their pets. Almost all the servers and bartenders are absolutely awesome, friendly and down to earth. I have only had one girl that served me who didnt seem to enjoy her job.. but I think they fired her. I see people complaining about the parking lot.. and as a local. let me just say, the NoDa area is HORRIBLE for parking and since Heist has the biggest parking lot, everyone parks there and then walks to their destination.. I know that they try to enforce towing but Im sure its difficult to keep it under control. So if you come and the parking lot is full.. dont leave a bad review.. just park across the street in neighborhood.. its less than a minute walk. If you want a really chill place with an ever changing catalog of food and beer, a place to play trivia or see local bands on certain days of the week.. Heist is the place to be!
After the 1st time here, this may be one of my favorite restaurants! We were seated in 5 minutes and our server was probably one of the best servers I've ever had. All staff were professional, friendly, and like they could read our minds! The food came out fast and each dish was amazing. My girlfriend and I split the Burger Burger Burger, Chicken & Waffle Tacos, and Beer Cheese dip w/pretzels. We loved all the food. We tried a couple of their beers as well, which were definitely unique and great!!! The place was busy too around 7pm on a Saturday. We parked a couple blocks down at the ymca/church. We will definitely be coming back! 5/5
I really enjoyed this place. Their beers are amazing, and the food is great. The buffalo chicken flatbread...wow. Sat outside in the beautiful warm weather and enjoyed the food, beer, and company. Staff was friendly as well.
We have given this place enough chances and now just have to write it off. Very little mediocre food for way too much money. They always bring out multiple menus and we have to guess which one is accurate. Poor customer service and the beer is so hit or miss you don't know if you'll end up with a half descent brew or washer fluid. I wanted this to be better because it is so close to my house but I have had to move on.
Second time here in a about 3 years. Parking lot is always full when we drive by, but the place has about 25 people in it, at most..... Like they have all the employees park out front to make it look like they are busy. Here on a Tuesday night, google says they are open until midnight but they say the kitchen closed at 10.... unfortunately 5 minutes before we got here, so no food but.... serving lots of alcohol though.... Beer is mediocre at best...and the bartender disappeared as soon as we ordered the first one. Probably won't come back. It's every bit of disappointing as the first time. Ugh.... was hoping for so much more.
