Newgrass Brewing Co.
Went in to order a beer red headed goofy guy ask us if we had mask. Put masks on and looked at menu. I pulled my mask down to take a bite of popcorn we had just got from sweets and treats, and the guy said we cant serve you. So definitely lost my business forever. Hopefully the owner takes care of that or watches his camera to confirm my story. Luckily I know a lot of people on council this place wont last. Hence the last the last name. And the area they are in and building. Great job red head.
Really great little spot. Excellent beer. Cute ambiance. Not usually in to IPAs, but drank two I enjoyed!
I love sour beers and this place has them mastered. If they have it in stock get the Forced Laughter; it's a raspberry trip to heaven. I also LOVE their Summertime Sammy, a peanut butter, jelly, and marshmallow beer. I know it's weird, just try it. I've only had it a few times but I hope they carry it forever.
Love this place! Amazing beer selection, awesome food, and outstanding outdoor seating (they have indoor seating too, we just love to eat outside)! Highly recommend!
Newgrass Brewing Co has been a terrific addition to downtown Shelby. I've been numerous times, but finally decided to write a review. My wife and I had dinner there recently. I had the Reuben, my wife the Yardbird. Both were delicious! We split two sides: one order of green beans and another of kale. We especially love their green beans (with almond slices). The beer selection at Newgrass rotates, which can be frustrating on the one hand because when you find something you love there is a risk that it'll be switched out (eventually) for something else. On the other hand, you get fresh options to choose from. I tried the Tyrant Shrine (I have no idea how they come up with their beer names). It was truly one of the best beers I've tasted! Dark, incredibly smooth, wonderful aftertaste... To top things off the atmosphere is great for hanging out. One can go upstairs if a little more privacy is desired. Great live bands, and in warm weather months one can sit at tables in the adjoining alley. Highly recommended!
