Founded in 2009, The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery ignited the ultra-premium beer scene in Charlotte and has been at the forefront of the local market ever since. OMB adheres to the oldest purity guidelines in the world, the German “Reinheitsgebot.” This law states there can be only four ingredients in beer: water, barley or wheat malt, hops, and yeast. It’s “beer flavored beer” and it’s always fresh as OMB only distributes within a 60-mile radius. OMB is one of only nine craft breweries included on the Inc. 5000 list, and the only in North Carolina.

Loved the selection of German style beers! Also had a variety of guest taps with good offerings. While I didnt try the food here, the menu looked good and it smelled wonderful. Bier Hause had ample seating, many with shade, which was great on a warm day. Had live music too. Id happily eat and drink here again.

Awesome place to eat. Huge indoor and outdoor dining areas. Clean, simple menu offered the basics like burgers and fries, but also excellent authentic German dishes like pork schnitzel (generous portion by the way), sauerkraut, German style potato salad (with bacon), and a variety of different flavored brats & sausages. Oh, and the pretzel tree with beer cheese & mustard, and the brotchen rolls were also delicious. As well as great and varied beer selection.

A beautiful job! Great food, attentive and friendly staff. My daughter and son gave my husband a retirement party after 43 years as a Commercial Architect and Olde Meck did not disappoint! They have a large screen for a slide presentation, wireless microphone, and several easels for art, signage, or posters! Everyone had a wonderful time! Well done! Cake by Debs Sweet Cakes

We love this place! There is a ton of seating outside with lots of space for kids to run around. There is a decent sized dining area inside that has the AC blasting. The food is a fun mix of classic bar foods and traditional German cuisine. The beer options are limited, in my opinion, but that could have just been the sit-down menu options. Still a fun, relaxed way to enjoy a meal.

The Rueben was delicious, and huge! I could only eat half. The beer was good too. The outdoor biergarten was the highlight of this place, and I wish we couldve spent an entire evening there, but we were trying to pack all of the breweries into one short weekend. Would definitely go back!
