We came here for the most recent Yelp international supper club. This was my first time trying Ethiopian food, so I was excited. They typically have a lunch buffet which they did for us for this dinner event. It was the perfect was to try a new cuisine. I loved being able to try some of everything. Everything was delicious. Some things had a very flavorful heat to them which I loved. As others have said, you don't get utensils, but they will bring them if you ask. I didn't miss them myself. Everyone there was incredibly friendly and accommodating. It's a pretty small restaurant so we took up most of the seating. There is a small parking lot out back. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try and sampling a new cuisine if you aren't familiar with Ethiopian food.

Wow, That was very good! I had be lamb wet. Phenomenal. The sauce with the lamb was so good perfectly seasoned, the lamb was very tender. The greens were a good vegetable to have with but the lamb was all I cared about. Good size portions, I think a normal person would have some leftovers... Not me. Highly recommend.
I've eaten here twice now, and both times the staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was incredible. Abugida is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte. The feasts are affordable, and they include more than enough food for two people. The weekend brunch was also great. Try the hot tea!
We hadn't been to an Ethiopian restaurant for a few years, not knowing how they would be able to handle gluten and dairy allergies. Abugida was amazing with our food allergies, they have gf injera which was so good and they are knowledgeable about what dishes contain things we needed to avoid. Highly recommended.
Great food, tasty and plenty to share! Really cute space. I'll be back!
