I was all ready to give 5 stars after receiving this delicious looking plate. I got the oxtail and chicken combo. Oxtails were amazing as well as the rice and beans and veggies. The chicken was great until I got to the drumstick and saw all the feathers still attached. Literally turned my stomach. To me that signals the meat wasnt cleaned that well before cooking. If it was no way you would miss all these feathers. One piece of feather I could look past but this was ridiculous. Ugh, Ill stick with just oxtails next time.

Looking for some authentic Jamaican food ? The Caribbean Hut is where its at, they have been around for some time now but this is your reminder to re visit . They have 4 locations with two being here in Charlotte, one in Gastonia & the other in Clemson . Be sure when you go to try out their in house juices I fell in love with the Sorrel flavor which is a Jamaican flower, Im obsessed with ginger and I could taste a lot of ginger in this drink .They have other juices in house such as sea moss & more . We lucked up and were able to try their famous curry shrimp with coconut milk and great balls of fire that dish alone sparked all my foodie needs for that day. Also tried the steamed snapper which was super flavorful, the oxtail were some of the best I have had in a long time.The jerk chicken hit the spot as well and I felt like a fat rat when I left lol .

Caribbean Hut is my go to spot when I want Jamaican food. 9x out of 10 I order Oxtail. The dish is very flavorful and the meat is always tender. The rice and peas are not dry at all. The line does move slow so I would suggest calling in your order should you happen to be in a rush.

Caribbean Hut is usually my go-to but I was missing the love this go around. I ordered a simple veggie plate with jerk sauce on my rice. Jerk sauce covered everything but my rice. It was too much. Couldn't even enjoy my cabbage and plantains. Small thing in the grand picture but hope they'll do better next time.

My husband while visiting Charlotte wanted some Caribbean food and His sister suggested this place. He loved every bite. We are all foodies. Not only did the food look good but it tasted great. He will definitely return again soon.
