Trying to accommodate my daughters vegan issues, I found Chaat n Dosa and I loved it. I didnt know what to order so I ordered a lot. It was fantastic. My chicken nugget son loved it. So, good job and keep it up!
I frequently goes to this place to have snacks , since Im local to Charlotte. I almost tried all the items in here. They have very good menu and food also good. Though they are good I dont like few things as below. If you order coffee , they microwave the cold coffee and give it to you. I have witnessed this once. I dont suggest to eat pre cooked items like punugulu, vada, mysore bajii, pakora and so on. Since these items are not cooked fresh.
This looked like how it is at a regular south Indian tiffin place looks in Bangalore or Chennai. Full of people, lucky to get a table. Order your food at the (unmanned, but an electronic order terminal) counter. Then wait for your name to be called. Typican places in India used to give a little paper token with a number in places like Kamat in Bangalore. But this is a little more tech, but someone still calls your name. You will get couple types of Samar for self service in 4oz styrofoam containers and 3 types of chutney in 2 oz paper containers. Not bad, I shipped some of the sambar while waiting for my name to be called. Chutney was ok I would say, not any top class or anything. We ordered a Vada Pao, spring dosa and a south Indian Thali meal. Thali ( a styrofoam tray with rice, chapati and 4 mass cooked daal and vegetables) was ok, per my wife. I asked her would you come back next week, she thought for a while, then said - may be in a few months. I did not get my Vada Pao, but was seo with some chutney and/or ketchup and some garnish. They did replace it and gave us the Vada Pao, which we packed it to go, as we were done with the Thali and Dosa by then. Spring dosa was ok.
This place was really good, I appreciate Olga and chika and helping me Try to find a good item on the menu not like there wasn't a lot of good things but I didn't know where to start and where to end lol. I got the samosa chat and it was extremely delicious and quite filling. We also got the uthapham and it was also amazing! My wife got the Northern tour of India and was blown away by everything on the plate! This one was a 5 out of 5 easily in my book Go here if you're vegan!!! They can make almost ALL of it veganized
Sooo good. Very authentic. We ordered the South India Thali, regular samosas and onion samosas. All very tasty.
