I got the pulled chicken, fresh cut French fries and corn pudding. It was so good itd make a fat baby holler! Great selection of sauces, too. The staff was very welcoming and efficient. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant and ladys room. The web entrance for call ahead needs was very impressive. We will definitely be back!
This was a fantastic experience and an even better meal. Not only were the staff friendly and very helpful, I even had cause to talk to the manager to compliment her on the great service. She couldnt have been more pleased or gracious. I ordered the brisket and asked Sam to chop it up for me. The chopped brisket makes for a much better sandwich experience as far as Im concerned. Sam asked me how, exactly I wanted it chopped, them did it exactly like I asked. The mac and cheese side was creamy and delicious. The dining area and restrooms were spotless and as inviting as could be. I cant wait to head back there and enjoy another great meal with fantastic people.
Come here often for lunch meetings. Staff is always welcoming. They are always helpful explaining the menu and the different options available. I pretty much always get the pulled pork. (Naked) means no bun. Comes with two sides. All of the sides are fresh and tasty. Love the slaw and okra. Food comes out quick and is cleanly presented. Then comes my favorite part. All of the sauces you can choose from all made by scratch. Swine wine is my favorite along with the mustard base. The also have onion, pickle and jalapeno to add. These go perfect with the bbq. Would recommend for any event or lunch or dinner outing.
When we arrived, we informed the employee that this was our 1st time and she gave us a bag of goodies to take home. Then she explained the menu as everything was la cart and offered us to sample any or all the meats & sides we liked. The staff, atmosphere and the food was top notch. They have 3 good size TVs playing football. We will be going back next time we are in the area.
My associate and I eat there at least twice a week for dinner and we have to constantly deal with the issue of them running out of certain meats. This is understandable when it is late in the evening, but last night as we ordered the City Sampler, the lady told us they were out of pulled pork, brisket as well as pulled chicken. When I asked what meats they do have, we were told ribs, turkey and sausage. Since we were supposed to get pulled pork & brisket on the city sampler, I asked if we could get ribs and an extra portion of turkey for the substitutions. The young lady asked another lady in the back and she said no we couldn't get those subs. That makes absolutely no sense to me so we walked out. We love the food but I doubt we will be back.
