Ive been wanting to try Curry Gate in Charlotte North Carolina for a really long time. I finally ordered takeout and picked it up. The food was ready before the estimated time and it was delicious. I had samosas, chicken Korma and it came with rice. The prices were very reasonable too. I cant wait to try other things!!

Because of the reviews, my wife and I had lunch here on a Saturday. Service was quite good with very friendly staff. We ordered soup, chicken Manchurian, tandoori roti, veggie Momos and samosa Chaat. Most Food was good and tasty. I would have given 5 stars. But the chicken Manchurian was made with minced chicken, may be fried chicken meatballs, which was pretty tasteless by itself, sauce was fine. I couldn't say if it was chicken or something else. It was not that inexpensive as well. We spent $50 for 2 of us. And the same soup with an additional tea spoon minced chicken costs $2 more!

I wandered in with two friends on a Wednesday afternoon, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff and had to wait for around 10 minutes to be seated since the dining place was full. We ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with two Garlic Naans, Shrimp Vindaloo and Chicken Momos. Food was ok but not wow, Momo was a bit overcooked and soggy, chicken tikka masala lacked flavors but shrimp vindaloo blew my mind , it was amazing. Overall we were satisfied but the drawback of this place, they don't offer dining plates ,means you have to eat from your take way containers.

My second time eating from this place and absolutely loved it all over again! My boyfriend picked it up for me and he said he loved the man that was at the front because of how amazing his personality was. My boyfriend got a spice of 9 and I got a spice of 3 (which was perfect for me). My dish came with rice and I got the palak saag with chicken. He got the grilled chicken tikka that did not come with rice. Not pictured is the garlic naan that we also got 4 orders of (so so good).

Curry Gate is my go to for Indian food. My favorite dishes are samosa chaat, dahl, bhindi masala and chai. The guy at the counter is super pleasant, great with recognizing people and getting orders correct. In nice weather, I love to get it to go and take it over to Camp North End and have a picnic. I've had more Indian food picnics than any other kind of picnic. So fun, especially in cold weather!
