Davidson Chocolate Co.
The prices are comparatively high but they're fine for the product that you get. Very friendly staff. I recommend the store if you love great chocolate.
A must try shop!! I read the other reviews about this place being closed so I went on my lunch break (I work in Mooresville just a few miles away) so that I wouldnt miss out on anything. The precious employee I encountered was lovely, polite, and was ready and willing to answer my questions. She wore gloves, wrapped everything nicely, and I was on my way in about 10 minutes. These may have been the best peanut butter cups I have ever had and my coworkers wanted me to share (I couldnt bring myself to do it). Next time I will take the whole case home!!! Thank you for being the lovely shop that you are!
They certainly have it goin on! I purchased a plentiful amount of chocolates to bring back home to visit my family in SC for Christmas. Needless to say, when I got back to NC and began to unpack I realized a certain family member took claim to the few pieces left in the adorable package. Beautifully crafted, incredibly rich, and worth the price. This was my first purchase and I live within walking distance. I have to fight the urge every time I walk past the sign out front! I will soon return to indulge!
Delicious chocolate and quick friendly service! We will be back! Thank you!
I am disappointed to have to say this, I cannot support this business anymore. What used to be a convenient stop on my way home from work for gifts is not so anymore. I stopped by in December for Christmas presents and the shop was closed with no warning. Apparently there were production issues. I decided to try to be understanding and returned the following week only to find that the case was pretty empty. The reason being was that they just opened for the day. This is not a reason to me, people need to arrive early to set up shop and have things looking right for the customer. I bought a little something but not the amount I planned and substituted with another chocolate shop. I had to drive a bit out of my way but they were able to accommodate me. Fast forward to Valentines Day and my other plans for gifts fall through. So I call on Friday to place a small order, though specific. The phone doesnt ring at all, the message tells me to go online, which isnt my preference but okay. Online you cannot choose what you want in a box, the flavors are already chosen for you. Im sure thats easier for the employees and I understand. So I decide to wait and go in the next day to pick up an 8 piece truffle box. I arrive on Saturday only to find the store CLOSED with no notice or anything. The day before Valentines Day. What kind of business practice is that? I told the sweet employee who opened the door and asked if I had an order that I would not be returning. Even having said that, I went online to look at the truffle boxes again and maybe settle for a premade one but at that point they were sold out. I know its got to be busy but I dont know of any other businesses who are closing their store fronts down on a regular basis and refusing to serve their loyal customers. I should not have to jump through hoops to receive decent service. If this business wants to stay afloat, something needs to change. Ownership/management needs to put in more work than the 30 hours they are open weekly otherwise Im not even sure why these people are bothering to run a business. It used to be such a nice place to visit years ago but sadly I wont be returning. There is other chocolate in the area that is just as good if not better and far less pricy.
