Famous Toastery University
During a weekend trip to NC last October, a group of us hit the Famous Toastery for breakfast. I ordered the Avocado Benedict and liked it. It was semi difficult to eat out of the avocado, but I enjoyed the unique twist on a breakfast classic. Service was good but weird in the sense that you don't have one server but rather the entire staff working as a team wherever needed. Strange. With that said, I was satisfied with my avocado Benedict. I'd return to Famous Toastery but wouldn't plan around it.
The food was delicious and fresh as always. Service is always very good here as well because the employees are friendly and polite. I got the southwestern omelet which was delicious with toast and fruit. It was about 11.50 which is one of the cheaper items on their menu so it can be a little overpriced. They have a nice room with a pretty view of the lake. Overall very enjoyable if you're willing to pay 12-15 dollars for your meal.
