This is such a super cute place and delicious!! The service was absolutey amazing, and the Green Machine mocktail was so refreshing! The pickled deviled eggs, mussels (not pictured), and branzino were absolutely delicious!!! The flower pot dessert had a little too much going on for me personally, but Ill definitely be back to try something else for dessert! I want to come back and try brunch. Ill definitely be back to order those eggs and mussels again for sure!!

Food was great! The restaurant was very accommodating when we made a reservation for our group of 12. They were able to seat us in two booths right next to each other, which worked out perfectly for our group. We had a great experience.

Flora in South End is GORGEOUS. Like, Im going to need to take approximately 47 pictures before we even order gorgeous. The space is filled with beautiful muted tones, flowers everywhere, and adorable little picture frames. Its basically designed for people who like to eat and take pictures of their food. So obviously, I approve. The tables are definitely cozy and by cozy, I mean close enough to make friends with the people next to you. Coming from NYC, Im completely unfazed, but my friend wanted to sit at the bar, so we went with that. The service was spectacular. We started with the burrata, which came with AMAZING bread and pesto. Such a pretty plate and absolutely delicious. Then came the beef carpaccio, which was outrageous. Tons of flavor, and the crispy little accents on top were perfect with the beef. Naturally, we also ordered a side of bread because I have never met a carb I didnt want to invite to dinner. It was delicious. But the real love story was the hot and dirty martini with homemade infused vodka. It came with blue cheese olives, and I asked for extra because apparently Im incapable of leaving well enough alone. They happily brought them, and the martini had just the right amount of heat spicy, but not why did I do this to myself? spicy. And then dessert happened. The carrot cake might be the best Ive had in Charlotte. Seriously. And the Flower Pot dirt made with Oreo cookie crumbles and ice cream was TO DIE FOR. Im not saying we needed both desserts, but Im also not saying I regret anything. Flora is beautiful, the service is fantastic, and the food and drinks absolutely delivered. I cant wait to go back preferably when Im hungry enough to order even more carbs.

This week we tried Flora, a restaurant in Charlotte's South End that I believe occupies the old Eagle Hall space, or something close to it. The name tells you exactly what to expect: the place is genuinely floral, bright colors, botanical touches throughout, and a charming, intimate feel with a bar positioned right in the middle of the room. It's a visually distinct space and it wears its identity confidently. Definitely a younger urban professional vibe. The menu is on the smaller side, which I appreciate when it's intentional. We started with the deviled eggs, which were a standout, the eggs had been soaked in what appeared to be beet juice, giving them a beautiful deep color. The beet flavor was subtle, almost background, but the overall effect was really lovely and the eggs themselves were delicious. Solid appetizer. For my main I had the burger and fries, which came with truffle oil. It was good, but I got the sense it wasn't the most popular order in the room, and honestly, reading the crowd, I think I understand why. Flora feels most in its element as a spot for cocktails, appetizers, a nice salad, or the steak and a seafood option. The desserts were enormous and excellent, which were genuinely impressive portions, and the drink program is clearly a focal point. The vibe skews feminine and fun, which fits the space perfectly and makes it an ideal spot for a girls' night out or a group of friends getting together for drinks and a shared dessert or two. I'd go back, though next time I'd skip the burger and lean into what Flora does best, the cocktails, the appetizers, and absolutely one of those desserts.

Our two daughters planned another wonderful family outing for me and Daddy, and this time we went to flora in Charlotte. It was such a beautiful experience from beginning to end. The atmosphere was elegant, warm, and inviting, and the service was excellent. Everyone made us feel welcome and well taken care of. For dinner, my husband had the Prime Ribeye, one of my daughters had the Seared Scallops, and my other daughter and I both had the Grilled Salmon. For dessert, we shared the Flower Pot Brownie with vanilla ice cream, and let me tell you, this is a must have for anyone dining at flora! Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. We all enjoyed our meals, and there was definitely some sharing and tasting around the table. What made the evening even more special was simply being together as a family. Great food, beautiful surroundings, and quality time with my husband and daughters made this a dinner to remember. We thoroughly enjoyed flora and would absolutely recommend it for a date night, family dinner, celebration, or just a nice evening out. We will definitely be back.
