This remains the best restaurant in Charlotte we've ever visited. While we hit it near St. Valentine's Day when the menu was limited, the overall quality of the food, service and atmosphere just can't be beat. We always sit in the bar on a sofa or love seat for two. Derek encourages us to sit the night, ordering items as we go. I ordered the salmon - the modest portion was fine, given we were ordering lots of apps, anyway, but for most, it probably would have left them wanting. It was wonderful: sweet, juicy, fresh and slightly seared on the outside to give it that perfect combination of texture and flavor. We just can't find this kind of ambiance quality and service anywhere else in the Charlotte area. We especially love being greeted and then afforded privacy. It's professional service.

We live about 10 miles south of the border in SC and come here for special occasions. The prices are high but worth it. Service and food is excellent, plus the place is quiet; which is difficult to find today when every other eatery fashions itself as a sports bar. The menu is small but they offer everything from sandwiches to 3 course dining. Recommend reservations.

This was a hard restaurant to rate. We alway seek out farm to table restaurants and their roasted beet salad and shrimp and grits were some of the best we have ever had. The roasted turkey was excellent but dressing cool, dry and no gravy. The service was actually some of the worst we've ever experienced. Our reservation was for 12:30 and we didn't receive our main entree until almost 2 pm. They had one of the hugest staffs roaming yet we waited 25 minutes to get our tea refilled. Even after complaining to the management, it was another wait. They were not even to any level of being full. We would not patron here again.

Food was excellent and plentiful. Queens Feast desserts need some tweaking, but overall very enjoyable. They have a large bourbon, scotch, and other whiskies menu.

So good! Six stars! I like lunch the best. You can take a date there for a 'tea' if you make a reservation. It's in the Ballantyne Hotel complex. Breakfast doesn't sound impressive.
