We arrived on a Saturday around 1:30pm. We waited about 15 minutes to be seated and 30 minutes to get our food. Normal wait time as everywhere else. I love this place and the owner Elliott is cooler than a fan. The Po boy was delicious but the chicken was mediocre and I didn't care for the mild sauce. The bon Marley was hitting (very good). The atmosphere was very nice, service was great. Our waiter Ronnie was very good. Order was accurate, he was nice with a great personality. I will be back. Very impressed since they just opened. Try them out, you won't regret it. I didn't like that they automatically added 20% to our order for 2 people. Also, they don't have to go trays. They bring you out a bag with a sheet of paper. That's why I gave them 4 stars.
The food was less than expected. I ordered the shrimp and fish meal (small portion comes with 1 piece of fish and 5 shrimps) As you can see i received 3 regular size shrimp and 2 salad shrimps. They have a rule that you can't send drinks and food back even when they mess up. So use caution when ordering. The visit was "Meh" and that's only because of the group that was there. The drinks were strong but fail in taste. So if you are looking for a buzz this is your place. Our waitress was great! She was on top of her job. Please note that the food isn't prepared until the last person at the table orders. So if you have someone running late you will not eat until after they have arrived and ordered. This applies to groups of 6 or more. This is my first and last time dining at this establishment. I can't say that this experience was horrible but it's not customer friendly.
I visited in their 2nd week officially open. The food and the service were excellent! The staff communicated upfront to set expectations that there would be a wait after orders were placed (we didnt mind since we were talking and drinking)the food came much faster than communicated. Fresh, hot and well seasoned. Dont forget the mild sauce for the true Chicago experience. The owner Elliot, greeted us while we waited and checked back after our food came. Charlotte, go check them out be patient, but its worth the wait!
The fried fish and chicken was amazing! I ended up saving my fish until the next day. Put it in the air fryer to warm it, and it was still very good. I noticed that they automatically charge for the tip, but I feel like it should be earned. Other than that, the food was good, my drinks were good, and the bartender was very nice and handsome.
Great customer service, good environment. The Long Island was strong and delicious but the chicken dinner was not anything special it reminds me of Popeyes and the sauce has a weird aftertaste. I would eat this late night or something quick to grab but nothing to rave for. Watch your check.. they added gratuity to my bill although the menu specifically says a party over six Or after a certain time .. I was a party of ONE and it was early.
