Hickory Tavern - Northlake

Good place to catch a game or a drink and bite to eat post-work. Large restaurant with quite a few tables and a spacious bar area. The food is standard American fare. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Decent kids menu with quite a few options. There also looked to be about a dozen or so beers on tap.

The food was pretty good. Salad fresh! But let me tell you- they need some work on facility. The womens restroom was terrible. Half of toilets broken. Doors on stalls broken and NO PAPER TOWEL. Our server although she was not rude was not very attentive. Service could have been better.

As a busy REALTOR sometimes you almost forget to eat. Luckily Hickory Tavern is open to 11pm and the kitchen closes at 10:30 pm. Only place I've found where you can grab a hot dog with sauerkraut on the menu. Definitely try the tater tots. Good place, nice atmosphere.

The lobster roll and brussle sprouts were great and proportioned well! The croissants didn't travel in the best shape but were tasty as well. I'll definitely order again.

It has been years since I have visited a Hickory Tavern. We opted to visit this location for a late weekday lunch with a party of 6. The restaurant was nearly empty. We were promptly seated. An unfortunate accident led to a change in servers. But this was explained to us immediately by the manager. Our replacement server came over quickly to take our orders. After that, the service was a wee bit slow, especially considering it was so empty in there. But it wasn't a huge problem. Everyone was happy with their food orders. The food was hot and delivered as ordered. Overall, it was a solid experience. I would definitely give them a return visit in the future. Pro-tip: Apparently they do karaoke on Thursdays at 7pm.
