Hickory Tavern - Wesley Chapel
Hickory Tavern at its best. As a long time fan Ive enjoyed this restaurant for years. Unfortunately several locations have made drastic changes. This location continues to maintain quality and great customer service too. The Manager (Nick) will make sure everything is perfect. Ask for Christina , shes an amazing waitress.
Nicely walked into half empty restaurant at. 5:40pm. We are party of 3. Clearly at least 6 tables of 5 available and plenty of staff. Girls at the front about 4 of them were conversing about the situation, apparently we asked for a trip to the moon it was a big ordeal between them LOL. With a straight face and plenty of empty tables behind her they rudely say theres a wait now and would not seat my mother and 4 year old because we are party of 3 not 4 or 5. So with one more person we would be eating now. Never mind the tables of 4 with two and booths with one person occupying them. How does that work? What kind of customer experience is that ideal? Moronic system. Literally plenty of space to serve customers. Ive come here and tip 50% or more every single time. No longer. They dont want your business do not recommend. Rude front staff. Miserable people make miserable employees. You can tell by the canned copy and paste responses they wont care.
The worst burger I've ever had. The appetizer was good and my husband didn't complain about his meal. The staff was great. But that mushroom Swiss burger was absolutely awful. I tried drenching it in ketchup and I added salt just to give it some flavor and I still couldn't finish it. I'm not one to complain but it was horrible.
Always love coming here. Food is always good. Evan is iur favorite waiter but we've never had a bad server. Our go-to place for our family for the past 10 years.
The service was okay but the food was not . I ordered chicken tenders and they were not good, very bland. I then had a hamburger to replace them which had no seasoning at all. My son also had a hamburger that was the same, no seasoning and basically tasteless. The tater tots were cold! The crispy brussel sprouts were burnt! Not a good night for us at Hickory Tavern in Wesley Chapel.
