Ok.... I am very pleased with the potion and quality of food! I am very picky with my West Indian & Jamaican food here in Charlotte. Mainly because of every spot in Charlotte isn't authentic & not cooked right over all! I've narrowed my choice of Jamaican food to 1 specific spot in Charlotte I will eat at over the many I've tried. I was very skeptical about trying a new restaurant again due to all the disappointing spots I've tried thus far! But I decided to give This one a try due to some of the reviews I've seen in the past few months. I am soooooooo glad I did! I ordered quite a bit of food today (5/16/2022) in order to sample to quality and taste and truly see if it is worth eating here again! BABYYYYY!!! Let me tell you! This is definitely my absolute favorite now... it actually knocked my other spot to my #2 place now! I ordered the stew chicken, rice & peas, cabbage, collard greens, candied yams, sweet plantains & a chicken patty with coco bread. Absolutely NOTHING disappointed! Impeccable taste! The only issue I had was my coco bread was missing from my order! Definitely a MUST try!!!!

I mean WOW!!! I was really surprised and impressed with the food here! A lot of West Indian restaurants in Charlotte claim to be so but ARE NOT! The flavors here are spot on!!! I went in ordered then went to my car to taste and went right back in to order more!!! I ordered BBQ Jerk Chicken 10/10, Curry Chicken 10/10, Rice and Peas 10/10, Mac-N-Cheese 7.5/10, YAMSSSS 100/100, Cabbage 9/10!! THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!!! I don't even live over there, I'm 30 minutes away!!

Definitely my go to spot now. Been here twice & they havent disappointed. Im from NYC & I know good Carribean food. Oxtails are good. Portions are good. Mac is actually good which is rare for a carribean spot. My only advice is not to go near closing time, I just feel like the food is more fresh the earlier you go. But thats with anywhere.

I have eaten here so many times over the last few years and I dont know what happened on the kitchen today. My food smells and is inedible. BBQ jerk tasted okay but the collards are mushy and very bitter and the yams just yuck. Look at the color of them on my picture vs other reviews. Sunday dinner going in my trash. Waste of $25 good dollars today. Ill be on a break from this place indefinitely. Very upsetting!

To the staff of ire nation, We just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the amazing food and service we experienced at your restaurant last night. We are from Trinidad and were so happy to find a place that serves authentic Caribbean cuisine. The stew chicken was absolutely delicious, and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back soon! Big ups from Trinidad!
