Island Thyme Grill & Pub

I've come across the listing for this restaurant a few times, but it was always on a day they were closed. I finally was able to stop by on Tuesday, 10-26-21. I ordered the cracked conch platter with yuca fries & mango salsa as sides and a slice of key lime pie. The salsa was great; it had just the right amount of pepper & onion added in with the sweet mango. The conch was very filling. I enjoyed the sauces, the red one a little more. It seemed to have a ketchup base which was different. Wish I knew the flavor of the white sauce. I enjoyed the key lime pie. It was the right balance of sweet & tart. Bonus points for using a graham cracker crust. Would definitely return to try something else on the menu.

As you walk up, the colorful umbrellas, Adirondack chairs & Calypso music give off that Caribbean vibe & invite you to relax. It was such a gorgeous afternoon, we just had to sit on the patio. We had the nicest waiter who offered a few options & was knowledgeable about the menu. We started with Blue Marlin Martinis & Citrus Streamed Shrimp (shown). If you would like a taste of the islands right here in the Queen City, this is it!

First time here. Nice chill place. The food was delicious. I was really impressed with it. Seems like a great atmosphere in summer as well. We will be back for sure. Check them out.

If your looking for something thats full of flavors and inspired by Key West then you will love Island Thyme! My husband had the Wahoo sandwich which was fantastic. We both absolutely loved the Caribbean Rice, we will definitely be going back to try more of their unique culinary creations.

I was so excited to try this place because Ive heard so many wonderful things about it. Everything is scratch made. The wait staff is phenomenal. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and the preparation of the food. She did a fantastic job describing the taste and texture of the foods that they offer. We ordered a mojito and a margarita-two of the best drinks that weve had in a long time. Our server suggested that we have our shrimp appetizer tossed in the teriyaki sauce that we chose. My husband loved it; I thought it was incredibly salty, but the shrimp was cooked perfectly. I ordered the twin lobster tails-comes with rice and another side. The rice stole the show-incredibly fluffy and full of flavor. I chose to have my shrimp grilled, and it was slightly over cooked. My husband ordered the mahi with Cajun seasoning. He liked it. Overall, my husband enjoyed his meal and would like to return. I wasnt too impressed with the food, but the service was the best that Ive had at any restaurant in the Charlotte area ever.
