Jon G's Barbecue

My girlfriend Melody and went here yesterday. Great BBQ spot, worth the wait. I strongly advise anyone coming to visit to get here early at least 9:30am to line up. You can tailgate in line, they supply beer in a cool and water too. I advise to bring your own chair to sit in line. The food amazing and worth the wait! Their brisket burger is phenomenal! Arrive with an appetite!

Absolutely phenomenal killer cue. Though a lot of the restaurant is Texas styled, it's still got a lot of true, NC style bbq. Their briskets and burnt ends are good too. All of the sides were awesome too but I especially liked the jalapeno cheese grits and the mac and cheese. The pork tacos are filled with Doritos and are fantastic. The only downside, since it's only open Saturdays the wait time can be really long! But the owner Jon comes by and talks with people, and everyone I talked to there was nice and made it a good time. It's a little bit pricey for bbq but in my opinion well worth it.

Staff are A+ most friendly. Food is delicious. We went around June 4. Prices on that date were $32/pound for brisket , $20/lb spare rib, $30 lb/ burnt ends. Sides vary from $4 to $12 great value for what you get!! Worth the experience. You can dine inside or seat on the patio outside

This place on the side of 74 is unbelievable. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is exactly what you'd want in a small-town eatery, the staff is great, and the line is out the door every Saturday. The brisket just falls apart, the rib meat slides right off the bone, and the mac and cheese is delicious. The sausage was huge, portions were more than enough for everything, and the flavor was just insane. Come early because the wait was about an hour, but they give you 2 free beers & water while you're in line which is unheard of. The wait is worth it, and I guarantee that the smell alone will keep you in the line for as long as it takes. People come from all over the area to get the best brisket you'll find anywhere. The hours are 11 until everything runs out and only on Saturdays. I can't give a higher recommendation. Absolutely delicious.

The best brisket out of Austin Texas. It is here in Peachland, North Carolina. For sure you will wait more than 1 hour in line, but trust me; really worth it.. Delicious! Oh they open at 11am but you must be here by 8-9 am to wait because theres always a line!
