I'm planning on moving to Charlotte in the coming months and Local Loaf is just up the street from my office. I had the Chicken & the Egg, and I say this without any hesitation, that was the best piece of chicken I've ever had in my life. I understand that's an odd thing to say, but it was so perfectly seasoned, so perfectly cooked, and so perfectly crispy, it was just...perfect. on top of that my wife and I split an oatmeal cream pie for the nostalgia and it's so much better than I could've imagined. Oh, and I wish I caught her name but the girl at the counter with the piercings was so friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back when I'm living there. I'm spreading the word to all my coworkers already there.

Im not one to leave bad reviews, but this place needs some serious TLC. We called twice before coming in and received no response, so we decided to eat in. That was our biggest mistake. The floors are dirty, most tables are sticky, and the furniture is very wobbly and flimsy. We waited for our food for over 30 minutes, had to go back to the cashier to ask for more water, and never received the salt and pepper we asked for. The staff is very friendly and the food is absolutely delicious, but the severe understaffing and the dirtiness of the restaurant overshadowed the great meal we all had. I do recommend this delicious food, but I suggest you order it to go (and hope theyll pick up the phone to get your order).

I have driven by Local Loaf a few times in Charlotte NC and finally decided to try! Was so cute inside. There is no waitress service so you just order at the front and they bring your food to you. The place was super clean. They have wine by the bottle to purchase and they also had a great wine list by the glass. I had the French Sauvignon Blanc. The menu was amazing! It was so hard picking stuff but we had the sausage, egg and cheese sandwich, an order of fries, the fig and Brie toast and the bubble & squeak boxty benny but I substituted the salmon for prosciutto. Everything was so unbelievable. The fries were so crispy and well seasoned. The sandwich was huge and was delicious. I loved my Benny! Perfectly cooked and the fig and Brie combo was a perfect combo. I cant wait to go back and try other things.

Omg... Awesome neighborhood breakfast joint! All locally sourced produce. Plus they make their own, bread baked goods, cookies, and make it all fresh. I got there when the cookies came out of the oven. O boy... Next time I'm taking them home to bake. Wonderful experience for me... P. S The pancake is crispy around the edges. This guy has been making pancakes since he was 7...there good!

This is one of my favorite places to eat in charlotte hands down. Their food is absolutely delicious. Good quality and fresh. The staff is super friendly and they have house baked goods, wine, beer, and other drinks to chose from even if youre not eating. The shrimp and grits is the best, shrimp and grits are one of my favorite meals to get anywhere I go, and this is top 2. Please go and eat it right now.
