Manolo’s Bakery
Brittany Morgan
An incredible bakery with an even bigger mission. For over 20 years, Manolo has poured his heart and soul into creating a Latin bakery that offers handmade cakes, pastries, concha bread, donuts, vegan ice cream, and more. Everything is made from scratch but what's even more impressive is the mission. Manolo is uplifting the strength and hardworking nature of our country's immigrants and regularly donates a portion of the profits and food to important community causes. A must visit for anyone in Charlotte with a sweet tooth.

This place has been on my radar for a while so I'm glad we finally stopped by. I didn't know what a lot of things in the pastry case were, but one of the employees was helpful in explaining them. My husband and I ended up getting: - Strawberry Concha - Some kind of passion fruit pastry - Peach Tres Leches - Passion Fruit Tres Leches The Concha was more of a sweet bread than a pastry to me, but I enjoyed it. I wasn't a big fan of the passion fruit pastry because it was very dry and bready. It wasn't sweet and didn't have a passion fruit flavor. I think the cakes are where they shine. I loved both tres leches that we got, but the passion fruit one really stood out. It had that punch of passion fruit I was looking for. I'd gladly come back to try more!

If you're looking for a cake to celebrate a special occasion, this is the place! They have all kinds of variations on their tres leches cake. We got the one filled with peaches, but they also have walnuts and chocolate, etc. The cake surrounded with caramel churros looked amazing, but too big for our party. There are also a ton of other pastries and ice cream, AND they are actually open in the evening, so the perfect place for dessert!

Zero star if possible. This was the third birthday cake that we ordered from this bakery. Every time the quality and the taste of the cake was decrease comparison with previous time. This time which was the last time ever we ordered from this bakery our order was taken by Amy. Poor in communication and very complicated in explanation. The cake that we got WAS NOT THE CAKE WE ORDERED. Dont waste your time and money there.

We always make a point to stop at a bakery when traveling through Latin America, so I can't believe it took us this long to make it to Manolo's! Out of the three items we ordered, two really stood out: the chicken empanada, and the cheese-filled pastry pictured. We had just eaten lunch, or perhaps we would have walked out with more! Next time we'll come hungry.
