Truly suburb barbecue, friendly servers and convenient location between the Elizabeth and Plaza Midwood neighborhoods. I visited with a group of friends on a weekday night and it was surprisingly not that busy. We were immediately seated and greeted by a friendly server. The food came out promptly and the barbecue sandwich was delicious! I will definitely be returning.
In one word. WOW! Service is awesome, thanks Chris We had the 4 meat plate with a side of burnt ends. Ribs are juicy Pulled pork falls apart but not soggy Brisket (Texas style) is delicious Pulled chicken is great But the burnt ends.... Wow the best we ever had. Almost forgot, my wife had the pecan cobbler. Again... Simply Wow. A spoonful was enough for me. So rich and tasteful. Well worth a visit
The hostess was extremely pleasant and that was a great start to my experience here. Ill start with the good. Service was pretty good and we were seated in a short period of time. With that said I was not happy with my meal. I ordered the brisket sandwich and side of mac and cheese. The brisket was a little dry and the mac and cheese just did not taste good. I may come back to try another meal but I wont be ordering brisket or mac and cheese from here again.
I was visiting Charlotte from Tennessee. It's a very cute, comfortable BBQ place in a cool neighborhood. I had the pork barbecue with mac & cheese and collard greens. The pork was really delicious. It was smokey and juicy. Their sauces were OK. The sides were also only OK. The greens weren't cooked long enough; they were kind of tough. The gal working the bar gave average service although she wasn't what I would call friendly (she was busy on the phone most of the time and my tea never did get refilled...). I'd eat here again but probably only after trying some other places in Charlotte. Probably should be 3 stars but the meat was good enough to justify a 4.
Came to this restaurant to eat with friends but had a rather long wait, so we decided to order as takeout through their online menu. Food was ready pretty quickly, however some of our requests, such as no onions, wasn't followed, but regardless the food was well prepared. My main issue however was the cut of meat used for my brisket. I certainly respect the opinion that brisket should have some fat cap, but my meal was 60/40-fatty/lean. At this kind of price point I'd have liked a more choice cut. It was still tasty, but a bit difficult to eat through. Not a bad place afaik, but if you have particular tastes make sure you ask questions about what you're getting.
