Miro Spanish Grille
- 11AM-2PM, 5PM-10PM
Nice atmosphere, good food. We had lunch at the bar (no drinks) and service was very good. This is Spanish cuisine so dont confuse it with Tex-Mex, its delicious food. Wine looked interesting. Will be back to try it out for dinner.
Took my wife to Miro to celebrate our anniversary. We have dined at Miro a couple of times in the past at the prior location and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We made a 6:30 reservation for two. We dine early most nights, so this was our requested time. When we arrived, we were told the table was not ready, but the party was paying their bill now and it would be just a moment. Several other parties arrived and were seated immediately while we waited. When asked how much longer the wait would be, the hostess (manager) gave us an electronic pager. At least two parties of 3 were seated ahead of us and without reservations. After 30 minutes, we decided to leave. My wife told them that we had reservations and yet had been bypassed for other customers. The manager told my wife that those people requested a specific waiter and another party wanted a booth? WHHHAAAAAATTTTT? At least make something up! We made reservations for a reason. Usually when a restaurant or any other business can't get the easy customer relations stuff right, there are more systemic problems brewing as well. The restaurant market is highly competitive and I work too hard to spend my time and money at places that do not understand or care about simple customer service. The rating here is now down to a 90, which is not nearly as good as it may sound. I am not a foodie, but had looked forward to eating at Miro again. However, there are literally hundreds of nice restaurants within a 20 minute drive of my home. They, like the previous two restaurants that went under in that location, will go down unless they change. I hope that is not the case, which is why I am writing this review. If I really wanted them to fail, I would say nothing. We, however, will not be back. * the manager offered my wife a free dinner at the end of their discussion. It was too little - too late. I had already left and pulled the car around. **. If you read the reviews, you will see that this is a problem and has been for some time. The hostess even says the same thing to other people with reservations. Unbelievable.
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Walked into the restaurant at 9:00pm. Door stated that restaurant closed at 10:00pm so being considerate I decided to order to go. Sat down at the bar and the bald headed waiter completely ignored me. I sat there for over 15 minutes waiting for him to acknowledge me. When he did I asked for a menu and he handed it to me and walked away. Did not bother to greet me or anything. It was first time eating at this restaurant so I was trying to decide what meal would be a better choice. He walked away from me mid conversation. Came back to place my order and before I could say anything stated our kitchen is now closed! I asked how is your kitchen closed and its 9:23pm? Your restaurant closes at 10:00 and it says this online as well. I stated that this was the worse restaurant experience that I have ever had especially for a first time and that I wouldnt be returning and he stated in a non- chalant tone okay. You guys should care more about your customers especially a new customer coming into your restaurant. Word of mouth is a big deal when it comes to your business and I will make sure to tell all my friends, co-workers, and family to never spend money at this place.
Favorite restaurant in south Charlotte. Traditional Spanish cuisine such as Paella and our favorite Lobina con Romesco (Chilean sea bass) pair nicely with their homemade Sangria. The Cowboy Ribeye and Paella con Carne are excellent meat options. Save room for Tres Leche as it is the best we've ever had. Highly recommend.
We were visiting Charlotte for work and couldnt be happier at the recommendation to try Miro. They have great wine options, exceptional service, and delectable dishes. I had the vegetarian paella, my wife has the filet, and my wifes Aunt had the Chilean sea bass. If the paella dish wasnt so big Id have no leftovers because it was that good! My other two companions had nothing left on their plates at the end of our meal! Highly recommend!
