North Harbor Club

We come here almost every Sunday for brunch. Its one of the few places in the Lake Norman area that has outdoor seating by the water, and that is a nice looking restaurant with a refined yet casual ambience. Service is always pleasant and timely. Nice variety of cocktails and wine. Excellent espresso. All of our brunch dishes have always been perfectly made. Prices are inexpensive and the quality of the food is high. Our favorite dishes are the wild mushroom frittata and the west of 77 omelette.
We went to North Harbor Club because we had family visiting from England and they wanted to go to a place with a lake view. We had never been there before so we were hoping it was good. It turned out to be nice day, not too warm or humid and the hostess sat us on the patio with a great view of the lake. The staff was really nice and the food was delicious. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the menu is very small and limited and the Creme Brulee was disappointing. First off there was maybe 1/2 inch of custard in the dish. (Really?!) and secondly it was butterscotch. That flavor didn't go well. But you should definitely go.
This restaurant is absolutely wonderful. For the quality of the food (incredible),i was surprised by how inexpensive everything on the menu was. While there's indoor and outdoor seating, I chose to sit outside to feel the lake breeze and smell the garden flowers. I loved everything about this restaurant: the quality of the food, the kindness of staff, the lake view. My only complaint is that I found a hair in my rigatoni.
Love love love. Best place for a Fathers day brunch . The buffet included lobster and Prime rib and the best carrot cake Ive Had in years!! Thank you for a memorable day.
I would highly recommend this place for lunch but not for dinner. For dinner, I ordered the "Beef & Reef" which was supposed to be a beef tenderloin, jumbo shrimp, squashed potatoes, green beans, and butter. However, the "tenderloin" looked more like a top sirloin cut. Additionally, the jumbo shrimp were rather average with respect to size and flavor. The potatoes were room temperature at best and average at best. The green beans were hardly cooked such that they were too firm texture wise and underwhelming. For the price, it certainly was not worth it. For lunch, I ordered a turkey sandwich with avocado, havarti, bacon, and radish sprouts on a multigrain-cranberry-nut bread that was quite good. The bacon was not overcooked, and the avocado was not overripe. I would highly recommend their lunch options.
