Open Kitchen was recommended to me by a family member and I was excited to give it a try. My hopes were a little too high. Our service was great, and the bread was delicious. I got the Veal Juliano, which sounded wonderful when I read the description, but I was a little disappointed when I got it. I felt as though there was not enough veal. The marinara sauce that covered the dish was overpowering, and I think this is what ruined the meal. The sauce tasted like a can of Hunts, which is probably my least favorite marinara sauce. Overall the experience wasn't bad, but it definitely wasn't something to write home about.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere and absolutely great staff. Super friendly and always very service oriented.
I ordered the spaghetti with meat sauce as it was the only allergy friendly food available to me (besides an overpriced salad). It tasted like it came out of a middle school cafeteria and barely had any meat sauce. The pasta was overcooked, and I did have a small reaction to the food, so those with allergies: beware. I dont think they actually check to see whats safe for their customers to eat. The server also calculated the bill wrong. An extra $15 was added to the bill out of nowhere. Paid something like $35 for dinner and couldnt even eat most of it due to it being disgusting and unsafe for me. I couldve gone to the local middle school and gotten the same meal for $3.50 and it actually wouldve been safe to eat. Absolutely will not be coming back again.
The food was good but I didn't like the fact that I was not told that a salad was NOT part of my meal and now I'm wondering why I have a extra fee on my bill and I didn't like the paper straws. I went for a romantic date with my husband. Next time I will pick another place it wasn't a romantic setup as I hoped it would be.
This place is always Amazing!! It just gets better every time. The salads and desserts are always memorable too!!
