I love poke so I definitely wanted to try this place when it opened. When we saw their grand opening deals we decided it was a good time to try it. We got there about 30 minutes before they opened and made it within the first 100 that got a free poke bowl. It was a long wait, but they were moving through the line quickly. The have some of the best variety of toppings compared to the other poke places in Charlotte which I loved. I got a citrus kale base which was really good. 4 proteins seems like a lot, but their scoops are very small, so I do feel like you don't get a ton there. It's Chipotle style build your own bowl with suggested bowls like most other poke places. They also have Dole whip for free if you check in on Yelp. They let us upgrade them to floats. They were good for a few sips, but way too sweet. I think it would have been better if it weren't dairy free so that it wouldn't be pure sugar. They also have pokado toast which sounded good but we didn't try. Everyone working there was very friendly and there were fun free giveaways for the grand opening. We both really enjoyed our poke bowls. I would definitely come back again, especially over the other food choices in the epicenter.

I'm a sushi lover but had never had a poke bowl before stopping into this Pokeatery location. I'm so glad I did! The location is clean, inviting and well-lit. The staff was friendly and helpful. But the food... by far the best part! There were many protein and vegetable options to choose from and my bowl was put together right before my eyes. If you like spicy options, go for what I had: the Volcano Crunch. The fish was very fresh and the ingredients in my bowl all worked together very nicely. A flavor blast! I had the pineapple dole whip for dessert, which I highly recommend as well. I'll definitely be back to Pokeatery soon.

Not local to the area, was craving for a good poke bowl. At first was hard to locate the place (second floor) but finally got there minutes before closing. What a surprise, great poke, the salmon, tuna and other ingredients were so fresh and tasty. Both cashiers were so nice and welcoming even though it was right at closing time.

I would like to start off by saying that the food here is awesome. Not many places around Charlotte compare to the variety you can get here. So these comments are not to warn but in hopes that management will hear and potentially make some changes. Firstly, the staff is very friendly and helpful but they could use some training on their own menu. I tend to order meals on the menu with zero alterations and that seems to confuse more than anything else. I've had to remind them of ingredients in the dish multiple times when the ingredients are listed on the wall right above them. It really comes down to quality control, someone should check that it has everything needed before handing off to the cashier. Speaking of quality control, please quit serving under cooked or inedible edamame. My picture below has happened 3 out of my last 5 visits with majority of the edamame. Nobody wants to chew on hard soy beans. As you can see the one on the left is properly cooked. The 3 on the right...leave something to be desired. Think I'll be getting the volcano crunch without the edamame going forward. Edit: review stars upped due to positive response and handling from management

Dinner at Pokeatery was great! The big variety of fish and sides to choose from, the friendliness of the staff and the general cleanliness of the place made this a place to go back to and not for lunch only. Ah, and defiantly try the dole whip refreshing!
