I was so fortunate to have the opportunity to visit Puerta for their soft opening. First thoughts: comfortable, good vibes only and with the character and acceptance of a favorite spot that has been visited for years. Doubly impressive is the fact that the food was executed beautifully, temperatures perfect, drinks made with freshly squeezed juice, and superior service. One must eat the churros. No matter how full. Best. In. My. Life.

Popped in for a quick bite during their soft opening yesterday and could not be happier. We basically wanted an appetizer and a cocktail but somehow small tastings of various things kept appearing in front of us. The guacamole was the best Ive ever had. Hands down. The queso was outstanding and the chicharrons? I need more! Drinks were perfection and I want to go back for a full meal now.

The quality & flavors are there - bold and with character. The bar team was very welcoming and friendly, and they have done an amazing job on the restaurant interior. Really good mole, which is almost impossibletogetin CLT, tacos and empanadas. Hot sauce was served with a warning and I understood why right away, so don't tbe a hero. Amazing restaurant but it still feels like they have to make some necessary changes. Walk ins are immediately directed to outside tables, a few feet from traffic and an inch from a million flies. Not a nice place for dinner for now. Still a bit disorganized, but it is ti be expected for a new restaurant. Nevertheless one that I'm sure ill be visiting again soon for sure.

I came with a group of friends on grand opening day and were sat at the patio (which is beautifully made btw). The hosts said that the wait was 90 minutes, but were sat within 40 minutes and accommodated gently. We had 3 different servers come up frequently and kindly checked on us. Jon was the guy to remember. The food felt authentic, delicious and not to mention gluten free (besides the empanadas). The cocktails were tequila based and also really well made. Best of all, Phi came to check in on us and other guests frequently to make sure we were having the best experience possible. 5/5 overall. Highly recommend! Only thing is that I recommend reserving spots because it gets packed!

We went there on their soft opening, and from the welcoming staff at the door, and then our server once we got to our table, everything and everyone were very nice. Food is the best among mexican restaurants. This is authentic mexican cuisine, trust me, I'm from there. I love the empanadas, chicken and lamb, my wife got the sopa de lima and corn bites, delicious! Also we had the lengua and Chipotle potato tacos, yum! Sauces were another show, fresh made and not too spicy, for the people who can't eat spicy food, but very tasty. Drinks, my wife had the Arco y flecha and I had the Yucatan. Made with fresh ingredients agave and tequila. We had to double on those . To finish, we had to have both desserts churros with 2 different sauces to dip them in and their 4 leches cake, yes, 4 not 3, and we pair it wit a shot of coffee liquor, yum yum ! I'm telling you, this mexican cuisine in another level. Fi, Micah, Caroline, Andy our server, and even the chef were very attentive. Congratulations to the owners for your great opening and we definitely will be back to check out the lounge.
