Salted Melon Market & Eatery

Trendy, friendly, and wow, such great food! The Salted Melon was a pleasant surprise for us as an after-church meal on Easter Sunday. It has a very cool vibe, with a hip dcor, very friendly staff, a great menu selection, and fantastic food! My only complaint is that the service was a bit slow. We ordered truffle fries, (which we highly, HIGHLY recommend), but they took forever to arrive. In fact, our main course came out before the fries, and we watched not one, but two parties who arrived AFTER us receive their appetizers, including truffle fries, before we did. We were baffled. All the waiter could say was that they were backed up, but honestly, it felt like he was afraid to admit that our order may have been picked up by another server by mistake. The good news is, they comped the fries, (which, again, are the best truffle fries Ive ever had), and all was right with the world. Everyone else in our party was more than satisfied with their meals - including the Pesto Harvest, and the Hot Honey Chicken, both of which they gave rave reviews. My meal was the "That's How I Bowl" and it was amazing! All in all, a great place, well worth visiting again and again.

I order semi-frequently from this location because it is one of the only places I can order a gluten free wrap. Having celiac's that is very important to me. However, every time I have ordered from them recetly there is an issue. There is either no caesar dressing in the entire caesar wrap, meaning its dry kale and chicken. Or I will receive extra flavoring, like the spicy caesar. I cannot have substitutions because of my food allergy. I even dined in at the Providence road location for the first time and my wrap came with no dressing inside. Very disappointed at the quality of food in recent months, especially when allergies are not taken seriously even when clearly listed on both order and the receipt on bag. Would really like just once for the food to come as ordered especially when I am paying $30 for a wrap and fries. EDIT: I decided to give them another chance and they have officially lost me as a customer. You can see in the newly attached photos that I marked clearly that there was a gluten allergy, paid extra for a gf wrap, and requested no croutons. You will also see clearly that there are in fact croutons in the wrap, which I did not discover until the second half. That will almost certainly make me sick for the next month. They market as an allergen friendly restaurant but that is not a true at all. You are not safe even when you mark your allergen.

Amazing food. It was so good. Everything was fresh, flavorful and appropriately priced. Amazing Chicken Caprese, Corn and Macarons The staff were super nice and helpful. It had a cute little shop for food stuffs, a bar, and plenty of comfortable seating. 11/10 Rating

The strawberry fields forever drink literally changed my life. This is the best latte Ive ever had. Im not a daily coffee drinker at all, but after trying this drink for the first time, Ive literally been going every single day. I also love the spicy caesar wrap!!! So good. Im now a regular.

Salted Melon has a really cool, modern vibe - clean design, relaxed music, and a great place to hang out or grab lunch. The steak sandwich was the highlight tender, flavorful, and well put together. The soup was a bit on the salty side, and the drink was just okay, but overall it was still a nice spot with good energy and friendly service.
