Schreiber's on Rye

The sandwich was good. I liked how it tasted and thought the meat was tender. I would like to go back but Its hard for me to justify coming back for the price you pay and the amount you receive. 25 dollars for a sandwich, chips and tip.

It may be good if youve never had actual deli. Embarrassing offering for a $20 sandwich. Way better places in optimist hall, hard pass. Picture of for scale.

Drove 30 mins out of the way for Bowery sandwich. 30 mins back, get home and its the WRONG SANDWICH. It wasnt busy, no long wait, 2 employees were just standing around, so clearly they were not short on help. I sit down to try their offering and this is not only wrong sandwich, but the riverside is disgusting. Such a waste of my time and money. I definitely recommend AVA pizza, the dumpling spot, empanadas or grilled cheese spot. All winners.

Not worth it. Just don't. Go buy some deli meats and make your own. This place is mid at best. Just a place trying their hardest to be like NY delis. The soy boys of Charlotte will love it though, because they don't know any better.

Okay so this really hit the spot. We shared the pastrami on rye. The meat and bread was delicious. My only comment is to include a pickle with the sandwich; it really needs it to balance out the sandwich. For a generous $19(!!), a pickle would be reasonable inclusion and charging an extra $2 is greedy. If it's a matter of packaging so that the bread doesn't get moisture, throw it in a little wax paper or plastic bag. But, we will definitely order this sandwich next time we are at Optimist. Yum.
