Great local spot for breakfast and lunch. Be prepared for a sometimes lengthy wait on weekend mornings. Call ahead service and reservations are not available. However, once you get breakfast, you'll see why there's a wait! The staff is always extremely friendly and I have yet to have a bad experience in any way here. They also sell made in house desserts that are absolutely incredible!
Good food, nice enough people, terrible service, they take your order, immediately ask if everything is ok and then u don't see them again until they bring you the bill. If you want at least one refill you have to flag them down. I have mentioned it to them twice before and no change. It's the only place to eat in Matthews. We will have to find someplace else.
We were recommended by friends. When we asked to speak to the manager, he came over, smiled, shook our hands heartily and spoke to us for awhile. Our server was friendly and professional. She was very accommodating and made a couple of suggestions. We were "warned" to bring a good appetite. When our order arrived, hot and sizzling in a cast iron skillet; we were glad we decided to share. Our delicious breakfast skillet was loaded with potatoes, sausage, bacon and onions and topped with three large eggs over medium. The toast was made with artisan bread and whipped butter. We couldn't eat it all, and gladly accepted our server's offer of a to-go plate. Stacks was all it was stacked up to be. For sure.
Always great food! Great prices & the service is so hometown feeling. Hours are a little odd, but when it's that good, you find a way to get there!
This is the place to go if you're super hungry on a budget. Food taste great. Prices are reasonable. You will definitely be able to take a doggie bag home.
