Please do not eat here. The food is much too expensive and the quality is shameful. Unfortunately the "local guide" below says this place is good but please don't be fooled. This is charlotte and there are a massive number of sushi restaurants so don't waste your time. For lower cost and amazing quality go to Mr.Tokyo!! Or for a more upscale experience I think Jade is near this location.

We have been going here for at least 15 years. Food is great. Portions are large, and the staff is friendly. Several employees have been serving us from the beginning.

I ordered the spider roll which is supposed to have fried soft crab meat. I assure you this was not crab rather some sticky mushy substance squished between fried tempura. They also said there would be 8 rolls. There was only 6.. Unfortunately I would not recommend this place....

This place did not include shrimp sauce, soy sauce, or enough utensils for 4 meals. We had to eat with our hands. I specifically asked for them to check my order. The sushi was small and falling apart and everyone's food was in the same tiny box. The sushi was not worth paying more than I pay at other locations. They charge almost 10 dollars for the most basic rolls that are smaller than other stores who charge $5. UPDATE- I now see they charged me after the fact .50-$1 for asking for NO avocado on each roll.

I will not be returning back to Sushi 101 again. Absolutely disappointed, I ordered three specialty rolls and one regular roll for To-Go and the 3 specialty rolls all came in one little container and the regular came in a smaller container. They were all such thin sushi rolls that they were placed and squished into one small sushi container. Specialty rolls come in 8-10 big rolls; however, this time we received 6 thin rolls for each. I contacted them letting them know I was not happy with what I had received and all they responded with was okay, bye. It is not reasonable to pay so much money for such low quality and little sushi.
