BBQ was very good. Some ribs were a little more fatty then preferred but had good smoke flavor and bark. Pulled pork and chicken quarters were very good... kids loved it. We went around 7pm and was very busy. Waited about half hour to order but got table pretty quickly after ordering. If you are in the area .. check out The Smoke Pit for sure.
Thirty minutes from my work but worth the drive. Best barbecue Ive had in the area, hands down. The regular pork plate (pictured) was an LARGE portion. Great flavor. Not over sauced but lots of sauce options on the table to chose from. Wednesday special was an extra side. Had the deviled egg potato salad and bbq slaw and both were great. Cornbread solid. Pork the real star. Shared a bite of the brisket from my co-worker and will order that next time. It was fantastic. Highly recommend. About $12 for a regular plate (had a large plate but goodness not sure you could eat more!) with a massive portion, one side (2 on Wednesday with the special) and cornbread. Worth every penny.
Traveling back home and asked about a local bbq spot whilst checking into hotel. Manager said Smoke Pit. Super clean. Super casual. Super friendly staff. The BEST Texas brisket I've ever had.
This place was awesome! The food and the staff were great. I would highly recommend a visit if you've never been. And be sure to try the banana pudding for dessert!
Went for the first time this past weekend and was thoroughly impressed. We went at a good time when the lines were short. Brisket was delicious - I think better than Midwood Smokehouse when comparing it to other Charlotte establishments. Jumbo wings were perfectly smoked and not over-sauced. Sides were good. I enjoyed the collard greens and sweet potato mash. Will be returning for sure! Best BBQ I've had in the Charlotte area so far.
