Great selection of oysters. Very tasty as well.. friendly staff. Bartender makes a great oyster shooter as well.. if I remember correctly I had a snapper they had on special it was also very good. A little on the pricey side but its quality food.
Amazing food!! Amazing atmosphere! Amazing Service from Chad upstairs on the rooftop! Super happy with everything here. I got a cold and hot lobster roll. I got slaw also. I actually took half my hot lobster roll home and had the entire cold lobster wrapped to go. I loved how the hot lobster roll was toasted. Its a lot of lobster and tastes very fresh. Also the rooftop has fans everywhere so its a few nice breeze up there. You can see uptown! Down side was the construction noise. It was loud at one point. You dont even have to go inside to get to the top. Stairs outside and covered if it rains. Would I go back here? Yep!
Great food! First outing in COVID times and it was great. The place is clean and the food was really good. The fish was cooked perfectly and the drinks were spot on! Try the Nautical Mule and Tequila Hummingbird - very well balanced. We decide to endulge in desserts and you should to; the pecan bar and larceny bourbon cake are exquisite. Definitely a treat this has been!
This was the first time eating here and I must say I really enjoyed it! The food was great and our server Cody was the best (5 for him)! We had this drink called the blue hummingbird OMG we loved this drink! It was truly a adult drink! It was not watered down at all and after a long work week we need nice adult drinks! The food was amazing! We had the waterman fish platter and it was enough to feed me and my husband. This is by far the best layer back place with great everything! If I could give 100 starts I would we need more places like this. Great food and no water downed drink! And once again thanks Cody for the top notch service it was much needed and appreciated!
My husband and I went today and had a great server. He was excited to be waiting on us, and had great energy. That is the only positive thing about the experience. Unfortunately, the food was awful. The nachos weren't good. They needed a lot more salt. My husband got the tacos and he said they were not good at all either. The Waterman looks like it would be a fun place to go, which I'm sure it is for drinks, but do not go for the food. There are other places to go to get seafood.
Wow! This place is super yummy. We tried the Waterman's Platter and the blackened North Carolina Trout. The trout was perfect as was the catfish. And can we take a minute to appreciate the hush puppies?! They were like a dessert! The atmosphere was relaxing, with good music and pleasant staff! Oh!!! And don't forget to try the Ghost pepper Pomegranate Margarita!!! That was delicious! And thank you to our sweet waitress who gave me a good recommendation for a nail salon!
I can't say enough about this place. Service is always on point. The rooftop bar area is awesome. The food is always on point. All of the food is good. I haven't had a bad meal yet at this place. Low key, their burger is one of the best in the city. The quality of the beef is fantastic and it's always super juicy.
First time here. Ordered online for curbside pick up. Once you get there just park in one of the designated curb side pick up parking spots and call the number on the sign and they will bring your order out to you. Our order came out in no time. We ordered 2 dozen raw oysters. The oysters were good, but they were really small. They did have a nice flavor to them. I don't know what kind they were. We will be back to try other things on the menu.
We tried to dine her over the weekend, but the place was PACKED with an hour wait. So we decided to come visit mid week instead....and now I know why this place was busy! Delicious, fresh food! We were seated indoors. The atmosphere was inviting. Courtney was our server and she was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the lobster roll with fries, hushpuppies and fish house punch. The lobster was so good! Large chunks of lobster drenched in warm butter. Hand cut fries were fried to crispy perfection. And I couldn't get enough of the house punch. We will definitely be back soon!
I was disappointed in the staff. My waitress was knowledgeable about the oysters, however they were paper thin. The punch was delicious, and probably the best drink on the menu. I ordered the NC Trout. It was bomb. The presentation does it no justice. I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Im still not sure whether I would visit again.
