Finally had the opportunity to experience The Waterman for my birthday and it did not disappoint! The service was exceptionally well and all the staff was friendly. The food was really solid all around. I really enjoyed the pieces of lobster hidden in the daily catch and the rice was nice and tasty. The mussels were amazing and the drinks were really good! I probably shouldnt have gotten the chocolate in a jar but hey it was my birthday. Definitely will be back again!

I had the pleasure of visiting this establishment and from the moment I entered the restaurant the tone was set. MY senses were immediately on alert with the inviting aromas that were welcoming me to dine with them. I dined during Charlotte's restaurant week and the service i received from my server Megan was exceptional. Her customer service like the restaurant was welcoming. She was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive which just added to my overall experience. I have recently been introduced to oysters and the oysters i enjoyed were some of yhe best i had. The clam chowder was so comforting. The fried seafoof platter was everything I needed it to be; crispy flavorful and tasty. My favorite dish was the seafood pasta. I was unable to eat all the food at the time, so i had my pasta later that night. It was equally as tasty as i ate it cold. I recommend dining at this restaurant you will not be disappointed

Yum! The service was delightful, drinks were on tap mixed drinks and we shared an assortment of appetizers. The ceviche was delicious, bright and refreshing served with chips. They have happy hour oysters in the afternoon so plan your visit accordingly.

Absolutely excellent!!! Best seafood restaurant in the piedmont!! The freshest oysters, calamari, and blackened shrimp tacos I've ever had!! And I am very particular about seafood! Quality is worth the price Julio and Megan made our first experience worth coming back!! Great atmosphere! We need this in Gaston County, please!!!

Absolutely phenomenal! Stopped at once place before on Easter and they had a preset menu, with nothing that looked good for outrageous price. Saved me from plopping near $500, so we searched and found this marvelous little place! Let me tell you something! We ate and ate and ate and ate some more, and the bill was half of what the other place was going to charge! The oysters were so fresh! Saw them being shucked before they made it too our table...so we ordered some more! The grilled oysters were phenomenal! Juicy, cooked perfectly, garlic was just enough! So...we ordered another round! Had the fried platter, and they swapped the Grouper out to Haddock for me, no up charge, so they are here to please! Cevieche was absolutely outstanding! Fresh, bright, crisp and citrus! The blacked dishes were also all gorgeous! We finished out with the keylime tart, it was soo good I stole it all This is definitely and hidden gem and absolutely customer forwarded! Cozy place, beautiful and great atmosphere! Will ABSOLUTELY make this a spot near Lake Norman all the time!
