Loved this place. At almost 50 years old we were definitely on the older side of the clientele. The food was tremendous. Service was quick. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. Not your usual dining experience. It was a lot of fun. Location in the South End gives you access to boutiques and the opportunity to stroll around after. Highly recommended.
The 3 stars may be misleading. Barcelona is known for its tapas and if that were all I am rating, I would give 4-5 stars. We(5 of us) shared several and each was truly well done and flavorful, and in sufficient amount. The wine list was excellent and, as expected, Spain well represented. The desert(flan in my case) also very well done. However. We also ordered 2 paellas: 1 seafood, 1"salvage"(mix of meats, sausages, etc.) I have to add that I had my first paella when I was 4 years old and have had many over the years, here in the US and overseas. This version, although well seasoned, was not much more than rice with a cupful of ground ingredients for weight, substance and added flavoring. To me, a paella comes with rice as a base and chunks of whatever, not as rice with a bit of ground whatever. So, to this part of the meal, I will give one star. The ambiance is good, restaurant clean and well put together, parking available close by, service is good and pricing is -depending on your choices- $$-$$$.
Great service. Martica( bartender) katie ( MOD) were awesome. Great knowledge regarding food, wine and ambiance. At first, skeptical about the location, being that I'm from NYC, honestly HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE "
We had a great experience especially bringing my handicap daughter. They were very patient with us getting settled in with all my daughters items. From getting her into the seat with her feeding machine, folding her stroller, finding a good spot for my daughters diaper bag and emergency go bag and several other things. The hostess and waitress was very nice. The waitress even knew a few sign language signs to respond to my daughter. It's not often we find a waitress that knows some sign language. Our food came out one after the other very steady. We notice the parking has a few places for handicap on the road now, which was definitely nice for us. The handicap spaces were open and didn't have someone without a handicap placard either waiting for someone or just illegally parked there.
What a great first time experience!! Amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There were different servers checking on us which we were grateful for. If you go, ask for Haja to greet you and be your main server. She was so attentive and kind. 10/10 will be returning.
