McRitchie Winery & Ciderworks

We decided to stop by this winery on a very hot and humidity day. When we arrived, we were the only people there. We waited on the deck for someone to greet us. A man came out and told us we had to do our tasting outside. The inside was only for reservations. After some discussion, we decided to stay. We had driven an hour to get there. The man came back out with our wine flight, set it down told us to follow the written wine description and left. Part of the tasting experience is learning about the wines from the owner/staff. It was 90 degrees outside so I guess he didn't want to be out there. The wines are ok. We won't be back!! Only one other couple arrived while we there. The tasting room inside was empty. If you have to have a reservation to sit inside, that should be on there website.

Wonderful views! They offer wines and ciders. Great place to stop after hiking at Stone Mountain. Also, very dog friendly!

So much fun. After a poor visit at JVD, we headed here. Its been YEARS since we came here last. So much fun. Theyve kept it smaller and boutique, the reserve Chardonnay and the two reds were amazing. We enjoyed everything including the hospitality. This is a gem for sure.
