Windsor Run Cellars
On my 4th visit, did the wine production/distillery tour and learned the advantages of having good production equipment. Instead of bottling by hand, they hire a Canadian company that has a special bottling truck that can drive into the facility and bottle hundreds of cases of wine in 2 days. Amazing! On the distillery tour, learned about the many ridiculous North Carolina rules about liquor production and distribution. The tour includes tasting their 3 brandies. One tastes similar to tequila. One is made from killer bee honey. All 3 were good. Cost around $35 A bottle. If you like sweet drinks, try their fortified wines. The tasting room is nice but there is very limited seating both inside and out. So this isn't a place to linger and hang out. Other nearby wineries are better set up for hanging out and enjoying scenery.
Friendly knowledgeable staff, nice boutique winery. Apple mead, cherry smash, island holiday are not to be missed.
Beautiful scenery, the vineyard on rolling hills. Very good wine and a great host. Mike was informative and knowledgeable.
The staff here is great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. They have some really good wines. One of favorites stops on our winery tour.
Mix of different things besides wine. I'm a red person and I would not recommend here if you like red. Reds were light. If you like sweet you would probably like it here. Also has distillery and some ports. Just not my taste
