The FOMO Museum Block Party organizing team is partnering with Charlotte Center City Partners (CCCP) to activate Uptown Live on Thursday, September 17, from 5 - 11 PM and 5th Street District bars and venues from 9 PM - 2 AM. This activation will invite audiences to engage in local, regional and national politics by being a fun and friendly opportunity to make signs, engage in local voting history and create a memorable pre-Midterm voting experience. Activities and creative engagements are multi-cultural and include live DJ sets, wheatpaste mural installation, shoe charm bar, sign making, collaging, voter registration tables, photo opportunities and more. Charlotte has a rich history of voting, protests and voter advocacy which is documented through imagery, photographs and articles to be used in collage works and poster making.
