Friends of the Mint invite you to hear Thomas Sayre, Sculptor and Artist, present “Somewhere Between Earth and Sky”. Sayre is well known here in Charlotte for his largescale earth castings Grandiflora and Furrow. He will discuss his current work as well. The program is free and open to the public. Organized in 1965, the Friends of the Mint stimulates interest in and support for the Arts. The Friends sponsor a series of lectures featuring nationally and internationally renowned speakers in the art world that are free to the public with museum admission.
