The South End Gallery Crawl is a signature neighborhood event that happens on the first Friday evening of every month. Individual gallery hours vary. South End’s fine art galleries, and some shops and restaurants who also feature local and fine art for sale, stay open late to showcase their newest exhibitions, often with music, food or drink, and an opportunity to meet the artists. Charlotte Magazine has named the South End Gallery Crawl as the Best Artsy Place to Take a Date, and it’s easy to make a night of it to explore the restaurants, shops and breweries around every corner of the neighborhood.
