CarolinaCon is a computer security conference that is designed for IT enthusiasts who are on tight budgets. It is run by a nonprofit organization and has no commercial vendors or sponsors. Attendance for the entire weekend, including admission to all educational presentations and a variety of side events, is $40. The event is in its 15th year. This is the first year it will occur in Charlotte, after being held in the Raleigh area the past 14 years.
