The Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools EL Services Department would like to invite you to the International Day of Learning, a Title III Family Event, on Saturday, October 27th. The event will be held at Garinger High School from 10AM-2PM, and is designed to support students and families who speak another language at home. The purpose of the event is three-fold: to share resources and information with parents that will help them support their child academically, build awareness of community support organizations, and celebrate the cultures represented by our students. CMS families can enjoy cultural performances, academic sessions, and activities for the whole family. The first 600 people to arrive will receive a voucher for free lunch, and food trucks will be on-site! Families can attend informational sessions and be entered in a raffle to win exciting prizes! The Novant Immunization Cruiser will be on site to offer free immunizations to uninsured families! We are excited to host this event to celebrate the diversity of our CMS families, and hope to see you there! |
