Huge park, very walkable. You can play just about anything with the name ball in it there! Great place for a picnic.

What a great park. The little waterfalls, the ping pong tables, the pavilion (which sometimes has shady looking people there) lots a benches, clean and kept up really well. I like coming here, hope to visit this park again soon! ( Also right across the street is Sabor!)

Independence Park (Charlotte NC) is a very nice neighborhood park. The landscaping is very well maintained. Lovely variety of plants and flowers. More people should visit it.

Renovation was supposed to be complete Summer of 2022 but I guess COVID put a big wrench in that plan. Its now fall of 2022 and it looks nowhere close to being complete and I rarely see any work being done. Occasionally a new pile of dirt appears and maybe moves from one place to another. With winter coming I assume it wont open any earlier than spring of 2023.

A nice park, but with nearly no people in it. It was a bit strange to be there more or less alone. But it has some sports spots in it and wonderful places to sit and relax.
