In town one night for a concert atOvens Auditorium. VanLandingham has Beautiful grounds in a lovely neighborhood. Conveniently close to downtown and many Charlotte attractions. We stayed in carriage house, nice room and quiet. Continental breakfast is definitely sufficient with a good selection. This place is so MUCH better then all the average hotel chains.

House, staff, and location to Soul Gastropub was all great. Bed kinda sucked. Lumpy and small. Not expecting much for the breakfast. How great is any continental? We knew that up front so that's fine. Bring a sweatshirt and jammies since there's no way to change the temperature in room. Great place if you're tired of cookie cutter hotels with feeding time at the zoo type mornings.

We only visited the property, found it by accident. The place is beautiful, and if you need a nice place to stay and feel pampered, you cannot go wrong here. Large offerings for weddings, reunions, or any large gatherings. Smaller, intimate settings also can be accomodated. Great photo opportunities. Pictures below only a few of the grounds. It is winter time, so you have to imagine the beauty when these gardens are alive.

The inside of the main house was beautiful but the breakfast was a little on the skimpy side. Just a continental breakfast. The room was good but the doors were funky. The WiFi worked well though.

A landmark in NC. Rooms are immaculate and the breakfast is delicious. Sad to see it closed.
